South Carolina Women’s Basketball Star Milaysia Fulwiley Plans to Leave Gamecocks, Sources Say
Milaysia Fulwiley, a key contributor for South Carolina’s women’s basketball team, has decided to enter the transfer portal. The 5-foot-10 guard was a standout performer in her two seasons at the school, earning numerous accolades including SEC Sixth Player of the Year and helping the Gamecocks win a national championship.
Fulwiley came off the bench for most of her games, but still averaged impressive statistics of 11.7 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game. The transfer news comes after Fulwiley’s team finished as national runners-up at the Final Four in Tampa, Florida.
The decision marks a significant shift for Fulwiley, who chose to stay close to home when she joined South Carolina’s program as a freshman.
