Turner to Build $10 Billion Meta Data Center in Louisiana

Turner Construction Company, along with DPR Construction and M. A. Mortenson, has been awarded the contract to build a custom-designed four million-square-foot data center campus for Meta in Richland Parish, Louisiana. The project is valued at over $10 billion and will represent a significant investment in the local community, creating over 500 operational jobs.

The data center, set to be completed once construction is underway, will feature advanced energy-efficient systems, including clean and renewable energy, sourced from Entergy. This initiative aligns with Meta’s sustainability goals, which include reducing water consumption and increasing clean energy production.

Meta has chosen Richland Parish for its exceptional infrastructure, reliable grid, business-friendly climate, and supportive community partners. The project is expected to bring substantial benefits to the local economy, including investments in infrastructure improvements and contributions to the community.

Construction on the data center campus is anticipated to begin soon, with a workforce of over 5,000 laborers and materials sourcing from local suppliers. Meta has also announced plans to host information fairs for interested workers and trade contractors at the beginning of the year.
