A 30-year veteran of British politics, Sir Michael Fabricant, has become the first contestant to leave Celebrity Big Brother this year. The Conservative former MP was voted out by the public after a brief interview with presenters AJ Odudu and Will Best. In a video posted on X, Sir Michael described his experience as “completely different” from what he expected. He praised his housemates, including singer Chesney Hawkes and actors Jack P Shepherd and Patsy Palmer, who he said made an effort to “cheer everybody up”. Sir Michael lost his seat in the general election in July to Labour’s David Robertson, a departure that may have influenced his decision to participate in the show.
