Wolves Win Fourth Straight 4-2 Over Tottenham

Wolves secured their fourth consecutive win with a 4-2 victory over Tottenham at Molineux. The home team capitalized on Tottenham’s error-strewn performance, taking a two-goal lead through Rayan Ait-Nouri and a Djed Spence own goal.

Despite being out of position, Djed Spence’s own goal gave Wolves the initial advantage. Tottenham twice pulled within one goal, but Wolves restored the lead each time through Jorgen Strand Larsen and Matheus Cunha. The latter scored just 101 seconds after Richarlison’s late equalizer to secure the win.

Wolves’ coach Vitor Pereira expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance, which moved them up a place to 16th in the standings. Tottenham, on the other hand, are now only one place and two points behind Wolves, with their fate largely dependent on their European performances.

Postecoglou, Tottenham’s manager, was disappointed with his team’s individual errors, stating that “those players are pretty reliable” but were punished for unusual mistakes. The coach also confirmed that Heung-Min Son missed the game due to a knock and will not risk him in the upcoming second leg against Eintracht Frankfurt.

Wolves’ star player Cunha had been at the center of controversy over his social media post, but Pereira defended him, emphasizing his commitment to the team and stressing that “he is part of our family.”
