Chipolo, a maker of AirTag-like devices, has released its latest product, the Chipolo POP tracker. Unlike previous models that only worked with either Apple or Google’s lost-item finding technology, the new device now supports both platforms out of the box. This feature allows consumers to choose the right device for their needs without worrying about compatibility issues.
The Chipolo POP comes with other popular features, such as out-of-range alerts, customizable ringtone options, and a remote selfie shutter. The device’s Bluetooth range has been extended to 300 feet, and its battery lasts up to one year and is user-replaceable.
Chipolo’s decision to support both Apple and Google finding networks makes its products more appealing for gifting purposes, as buyers no longer need to consider the recipient’s operating system. With over 4.5 million devices sold to date, Chipolo has seen significant growth, with a 30% average annual increase in sales.
The new Chipolo POP tracker is now available on Chipolo’s website and Amazon, priced at $29 (£30/€35).
