A new study from the Apple Heart and Movement Study found that regularly closing your Apple Watch activity rings can lead to improved sleep, heart health, and reduced stress levels.
The analysis of over 140,000 participants revealed a significant correlation between closed activity rings and decreased nighttime wake-ups by 48%, elevated resting heart rates by 73%, and reported stress levels by 57%.
This finding is consistent with the long-held notion that exercise promotes better sleep, heart health, and mental well-being. The Apple Watch’s constant reminders and incentives to stay active have undoubtedly encouraged healthy behavior among its users.
To commemorate its 10th anniversary on April 24, Apple is launching Global Close Your Rings Day, which rewards users for closing their activity rings with limited-edition awards, stickers, and badges. Users can share their achievements on social media using #CloseYourRings and even pick up a pin at the Apple Store.
