Samsung’s New Rugged Devices Bring Back Old-School Charm

Samsung has introduced two new rugged devices, the Galaxy XCover 7 Pro and the Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro, that cater to those who value durability and customization. These phones boast user-replaceable batteries, making them a nostalgic treat for mobile enthusiasts. The Galaxy XCover 7 Pro is designed for enterprise customers and features advanced AI capabilities like Google’s Circle to Search and Object Eraser. It also boasts IP68 water resistance, MIL-STD-810H certification, and programmable buttons. The tablet version, the Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro, offers more charging options, including a dock connection and hot-swappable batteries. Samsung’s new devices are not for everyday users but serve as a reminder of the good old days when simple features like replaceable batteries were common. The Galaxy XCover 7 Pro will be available on May 8, while the Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro is scheduled for release in early June.
