MachineGames’ action-adventure title has arrived on the PlayStation 5, and it’s a stellar addition to the console. The game exceeded my expectations, thanks to its refined gameplay mechanics and immersive experience.
Launch bugs have been ironed out, allowing players to fully enjoy the tailored PlayStation 5 experience. The DualSense controller takes center stage, providing haptic feedback that enhances combat and stealth elements. The lightbar features are also welcome additions, adding a new layer of immersion.
The game follows Indiana Jones in 1937 as he searches for ancient power connected to the Great Circle. Players will explore various locations, including the Vatican City and Gizeh, while solving puzzles and battling sinister forces.
Combat is incredibly accessible, with an arsenal of weapons at your disposal. Stealth can be tricky but is not enforced, allowing players to choose their approach. The story is engaging, and the locations are a wonder to explore.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle leans into horror elements, adding tension and risk to the tale. While it may not be for everyone, fans of Uncharted and Tomb Raider will find much to love here.
With its stunning visuals, great puzzles, and fun combat, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is a must-play experience. The game’s PlayStation 5 enhancements make it feel like home for fans of action-adventure games.
