Samsung’s plan to update millions of smartphones worldwide to its latest One UI 7 software has been halted due to serious bugs. The company removed the update from its servers over the weekend, leaving users wondering what went wrong. Despite promising seven years of support for new operating system versions, Samsung seems to have struggled with integrating Galaxy AI features into Android.
Users had reported several issues before the halt, including intermittent unlocking problems on the Galaxy S24 and a bug in Secure Folder that allows photos from the gallery appear in auto-generated Stories. These bugs raise questions about Samsung’s testing process, which has taken seven months to address the changes made for Android 15’s release.
