Influencer Andrew Tate Sued Over Allegations of Sexual Violence and Coercive Control

For the first time, a civil case has been brought against Andrew Tate, alleging he subjected four women to sexual violence and coercive control. The 38-year-old influencer is being sued by two former employees from his webcam business in Luton, Bedfordshire, and two former girlfriends.

One woman accuses Tate of rape, strangulation, and physical abuse, including whipping her with a belt. She also alleges he threatened her with a gun, saying “I’m a boss, I’m a fucking G, you’re going to do as I say or there’ll be hell to pay.”

Tate denies the allegations and claims his relationships with the women were consensual. The case is believed to be the first of its kind in the high court, with damages potentially reaching six figures.

The judge allowed the women to rely on evidence from an expert on why victims of sexual violence do not always bring claims precipitously, but refused to allow them to rely on a second expert on coercive control. The case will proceed to trial in 2027.

Tate is also under criminal investigation in Romania and the US over allegations of human trafficking and other crimes. His lawyer argued that the additional evidence from an expert on coercive control was unnecessary, but the judge disagreed.
