Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remaster Leaked Ahead of Reveal

Bethesda’s long-awaited remake of The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion is finally becoming a reality. Screenshots and details from the game have leaked, revealing that it will be shadow-dropped on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S next week, including via Xbox Game Pass.

The leak comes after years of rumors and speculation, with Virtuos’ website recently being pored over by fans who discovered images showcasing the new version of Oblivion. These screenshots compare the original game from 2006 to the new remake, highlighting changes such as reworked stamina, sneaking, blocking, archery, and hit reaction systems.

The leak was first reported in January when a Virtuos employee updated their LinkedIn profile mentioning an “unannounced Unreal Engine 5 remake”. The news has been building up since then, with Eurogamer speculating that Bethesda would be better off remaking Morrowind rather than Oblivion. However, it seems the Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion remake is now a done deal, and fans can look forward to playing it soon.

Bethesda has not commented on the leak yet, but it’s clear that they’re planning to make a big splash with this new version of one of their most beloved games.
