Music streaming service Spotify appears to be experiencing issues this morning, with reports flooding in of users being unable to access the platform. According to Downdetector, outages began around 6 a.m. PT and continued to pile up throughout the day.
Users reported struggling to open the app, resulting in no playable music. The issue is believed to have started at approximately 6 a.m. PT and lasted for several hours.
Spotify has acknowledged the problem and assured users that it’s “working to resolve it as soon as possible.” However, reports of the outage being caused by a security hack were later debunked.
The company released a statement on its official Twitter account, confirming that the issue is resolved and expressing gratitude for users’ patience. Users can now access Spotify with no apparent disruptions.
IGN will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as more information becomes available.
