CI Games has released a massive new update for its brutal RPG, Lords of the Fallen. The update, dubbed Lords of the Fallen 2.0, brings significant changes to the game’s core elements, including combat and co-op mode. One of the most notable features is the introduction of a “free friend pass” system, which allows friends to join co-op sessions without needing to own the game themselves.
With this update, players can now invite friends to play co-op with them for free, allowing for seamless shared progression across both players’ worlds. Defeated bosses and lit beacons will persist in both players’ worlds, ensuring that character progression is consistent between sessions.
The 2.0 update also includes significant improvements to the combat system, including a revamped lock-on system and new audio effects. Additionally, the game’s character creator has been expanded, and a dedicated jump button has been added to help with platforming.
As part of the update, players can now access the game’s offline tutorial and character creator for free, in addition to being able to join co-op sessions without owning the game themselves. The entire 2.0 update is also available for free, making it an excellent time for new and existing players to jump into the game.
Lords of the Fallen 2.0 is now live, and PC gamers can enjoy a 67% discount on the game until Thursday May 1.
