Kristen Bell Named to 2025 Time 100 List of Most Influential People

Metro Detroit native Kristen Bell has been named to the 2025 Time 100 list of most influential people, joining a stellar collection of movers and shakers including creators of “Saturday Night Live” and Olympic champion gymnast Simone Biles.

Time magazine’s chief executive officer, Jessica Sibley, said the list recognizes leaders shaping the world today and defining its future. Bell, who grew up in Huntington Woods and is married to actor Dax Shepard, has been a star on several popular TV series including “Veronica Mars,” “The Good Place,” and Netflix’s “Nobody Wants This.”

Bell, 44, has a long record of philanthropy for multiple charities, including No Kid Hungry. Her “Good Place” co-star Ted Danson wrote a tribute to her, calling her “one of the most remarkable human beings I’ve ever known.” Bell is also known for her voice work in Disney’s “Frozen” and “Frozen II,” and has appeared in movies such as “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” and “Bad Moms.”

Bell and her husband Shepard will meet with other honorees at the Time 100 Summit in New York City on April 23, and will be feted at the Time 100 Gala on April 24, which will air as a primetime ABC special on May 4.
