Ravens General Manager Eric DeCosta expects the team to draft at least one cornerback and one safety in the 2025 NFL draft. With 11 picks available, which is tied for the most in the league, DeCosta will continue the team’s best-player-available approach.
The Ravens have already lost depth at cornerback with Brandon Stephens leaving for the Jets in free agency, so upgrading the position is a top priority. “It’s always a big need,” DeCosta said of the cornerbacks. “You could ask 31 other teams, and they would all say the same thing. Corner is a critical, important position.”
The team also wants to get safety Kyle Hamilton some help, allowing him to play closer to the box like he did in 2023. With a deep pool of safeties available, DeCosta believes there are “four or five or six guys” who will be third- to fifth-round picks but can make an impact.
Additionally, the Ravens need help at edge rusher, offensive guard, wide receiver, and defensive tackle. With multiple picks available, DeCosta’s goal is to address these needs on draft weekend.
