Nintendo has announced that preorders for its upcoming Switch 2 console will begin in the US on April 24th, ahead of the June 5th launch date. GameStop, Target, and Walmart have provided details on when customers can start trying to snag a preorder.
Preorders will be available online at 11AM ET on April 24th from GameStop, while in-store preorders will kick off when stores open that day. Target’s preorders will begin at 12AM ET on April 24th, and Walmart will offer preorders starting at midnight on the same day.
Customers who preorder by June 4th at 8AM ET can expect their console before 9AM on June 5th, while those who wait until launch day may have to deal with limited stock. Best Buy has not specified a preorder start time but says it will be available via its mobile app and website starting April 24th.
The Switch 2’s starting price remains at $449.99 for the console alone, while a bundle that includes Mario Kart World is priced at $499.99. However, some accessories like the Joy-Con and Pro Controller have seen price increases of $5 each.
Nintendo has also indicated that it may make adjustments to prices in the future based on market conditions.
