Samsung has resumed the rollout of its One UI 7 operating system for the Galaxy S24 smartphone in South Korea, with a new build version available. The major OS upgrade was paused earlier this month due to a “serious bug” that affected users’ ability to unlock their phones.
The updated build, vS928NKSU4BYD9, is approximately 292MB in size and is significantly smaller than the original 5GB download. Users can expect the update to roll out globally in mid-April, although Samsung has not confirmed this information yet.
Samsung initially launched One UI 7 on April 10 for users in the US and Europe, but paused it four days later due to the identified critical issue with its software. The bug was reportedly affecting some Galaxy S24 users’ ability to unlock their devices.
The rollout restart is expected to expand to other regions soon, including China, Vietnam, and possibly other areas. Users are advised to keep an eye on Samsung’s updates for further information.
Note: A Reddit user has claimed that Samsung’s One UI 7 update will be available for the Galaxy S24, Flip 6, and Fold 6 in April, with older devices potentially seeing it in May. However, this information has not been officially confirmed by Samsung.
