Martha Stewart is not afraid to speak her mind, even when it comes to celebrities like Katy Perry. The TV personality recently took a jab at Perry after she participated in an all-female space mission aboard Blue Origin.
Perry was part of the team that launched on Monday and spent around four minutes in space before safely returning to Earth. Stewart re-shared a video from 2007 where she also experienced zero gravity while flying on a Boeing 727 called G-Force One.
Stewart’s post featured a quote from Perry’s song “Firework,” with the caption “Do you ever feel like a plastic bag drifting through the wind?” The TV personality poked fun at the idea of space tourism, saying “In case you spaced out in 2007, Martha has always been ahead of her time.”
The Blue Origin mission drew both praise and criticism from celebrities. Emily Ratajkowski condemned the trip, calling it “end time s***” because it seemed to be more about marketing than genuine progress for women in science and politics. Olivia Wilde also criticized Perry’s participation, posting a meme that made fun of her reaction after landing.
However, Martha Stewart’s lighthearted jabs at Perry have been well-received by fans, who praised her wit and sense of humor.
