Google has announced that it will make its popular Gemini live video and screen sharing feature free to use for all Android users. The service was initially available only to Pixel 9, Samsung Galaxy S25 owners, and those with a Google One AI Premium plan. However, due to “great feedback,” the company is now expanding access to more people.
Gemini allows users to ask about anything on their screen or directly in front of them. For example, users can take pictures of items and get information about their materials. The feature can also be used to research online by asking Gemini about unfamiliar words or phrases found in articles.
The rollout will begin with Android devices that meet the minimum requirements of 2GB of RAM and running Android 10 or later.
