Pedro Pascal reprises his role as Din Djarin, a.k.a. the Mandalorian, in the upcoming film adaptation of the popular Disney+ series. When on camera, Pascal provides voice acting for the titular character, while Brendan Wayne takes over on set when the character’s helmet is required.
New additions to the cast include Jeremy Allen White, who plays Jabba the Hutt’s son, and Sigourney Weaver, whose role remains under wraps for now. Giancarlo Esposito’s Moff Gideon has been rumored to return, but his involvement remains unconfirmed.
Collider shared exclusive photos from the set of The Mandalorian & Grogu, showcasing the production’s progress. In an interview, Sigourney Weaver hinted at her character’s authority and sent Din Djarin on a quest to the Outer Rim.
Weaver praised Grogu’s growth, stating she enjoyed playing scenes with him. With Pascal back in the lead role, fans can look forward to the film’s release on May 22, 2026, which will also see the premiere of the original three seasons of The Mandalorian streaming on Disney+.
