Mysterious Symbols Spotted on Earth from Space Station

A camera attached to the International Space Station recently captured images of curious symbols etched into the desert landscape in Tunisia. Sen, an Earth and space livestreaming company, founder Charles Black explained that the symbols are likely examples of agricultural activity, but the exact nature is unknown.

The camera, which peers straight down at the Earth, covers a scene approximately 250 kilometers wide and provides high-resolution 4K video footage. The recent footage shows what appears to be “mysterious writing etched into the sand.” However, Black said that Sen doesn’t always reveal exactly what its cameras observed, leaving it up to viewers to discuss and decide.

The space station orbits Earth about 16 times a day, offering new views with each orbit. Getting cameras aboard the station was a challenging process, requiring testing for Electromagnetic Interference and passing multiple NASA safety reviews.

As the International Space Station is slated to be deorbited in around 2030, Sen plans to install live-streamed cameras on future spacecraft, providing real-time global views of Earth. The current camera offers a breathtaking view of our planet, showcasing sprawling cities, snow-covered mountains, and vibrant waters.
