Nintendo has been quiet about a new Mario game for its upcoming Switch 2 console, but president Doug Bowser hinted that something is in the works. In an interview, Bowser only shared that “stay tuned” – leaving fans eagerly awaiting news.
On the other hand, Donkey Kong Bananza has sparked speculation as to whether it’s being developed by the Super Mario Odyssey team. If true, this would suggest a similar style and flair for a future Mario game. However, with no official confirmation, fans are left to wonder when we can expect the next Mario adventure.
Luckily, some of the excitement is already building with the announcement of Mario Kart World, which arrives on June 5, 2025, alongside the Switch 2 console. Other games in development include Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour, Donkey Kong Bananza, Drag x Drive, Kirby Riders, and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment.
