King Charles and Queen Camilla Attend Easter Service at Windsor Castle

King Charles and Queen Camilla marked a beloved royal family tradition by attending the Easter Mattins church service at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle on April 20. The couple was joined by other members of the royal family, including Prince William and Kate Middleton who skipped the event to spend the holiday with their children in Norfolk.

The 14th-century chapel has hosted many royal weddings and is also where the royal couple’s marriage was blessed in 2005. King Charles and Queen Camilla have a special connection to the chapel, having used it for numerous state occasions over the years.

Last year, the King attended the Easter service despite being diagnosed with cancer and had sat apart from other attendees to minimize the risk of infection. This year, he continued the tradition, but has still been undergoing cancer treatment and was briefly hospitalized on March 27.
