Bella Ramsey, star of the HBO drama “The Last of Us,” has expressed frustration over being repeatedly asked about her character’s age in an interview. In a recent conversation with Heart radio’s Dev Griffin, Ramsey was asked how she prepared to play an older Ellie in season two, given that her character was 14 in season one and will now be 19.
Ramsey’s response? “I’ve got nothing to say to you!” The star laughed off the question, joking that she has grown up and that there’s not much to tell. However, Ramsey made it clear that she will continue to face this question repeatedly during her press tour.
Despite the frustration, Ramsey did discuss how she prepared for season two. She revealed that she underwent a rigorous training process, including two months of jujitsu and other martial arts. The show’s action-packed season follows Ellie as she gets physically involved, while also exploring her friendship with Dina, played by Isabela Merced.
Season two premiered on April 13 in the U.S. and April 14 in the UK, and will be released weekly through May 26. Fans have been praising the casting of Isabela Merced as Dina, with many expressing their excitement for the new season’s episodes, which will air Sundays at 9pm ET on Max.
