A Delta Air Lines flight, Delta Flight 1213 from Orlando to Atlanta, was evacuated just before takeoff on Monday after flames shot out of one of its engines at Orlando International Airport in Florida. The Airbus A330 aircraft, carrying 200 passengers and crew, experienced a fire in the tailpipe of one of its two engines.
Despite initial concerns, there were no reports of injuries among passengers during the evacuation. Crews used emergency slides to get everyone off the plane. The airport confirmed that the fire was contained and extinguished.
Delta Air Lines apologized for the incident, saying safety is their top priority. Maintenance teams will examine the aircraft to determine the cause of the engine failure. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is also investigating the incident. Passengers were offered food and drinks while waiting in the terminal, and they were later transferred to a different flight to reach their destinations.
