Houthis Fire Ballistic Missile at Israeli Territory

Houthi rebels fired a ballistic missile at Israeli territory early Wednesday morning, prompting an emergency response from the IDF. The military confirmed that the missile was likely successfully intercepted.

Sirens sounded in northern Israel, including Haifa and Nahariya, but there were no reported injuries. Paramedics treated several individuals who had run to shelter, despite not receiving any reports of injuries.

The malfunctioning air force systems led to shorter defense intervals on Wednesday compared to previous days. The incident follows recent US strikes against the Houthi group in Yemen.

Last week, a similar missile launch by Houthis triggered sirens in Tel Aviv and other areas. The United States has been conducting airstrikes on the Iran-backed group amid efforts to target its operations.
