Actor David Harbour has spoken about his recent period of “tremendous change” after marriage speculation surrounding his relationship with singer Lily Allen. The Stranger Things star refused to engage in discussions about the couple’s private life, stating that it leads to “hysterical hyperbole” and encourages a “salacious s***show of humiliation”.
However, Harbour did admit that he has gone through significant personal changes and is embracing this new chapter. He stated, “There’s a lot of change – a tremendous amount of change. And I think in that world, you have two paths… You can sit with whatever uncomfortable or weird it makes you feel.”
Harbour emphasized his focus on channeling his experience into work, finding solace in the idea that his life will be useful to others through art. He also hinted at the breakdown of his relationship, saying, “You know, it’s not that things ending aren’t hard, but it’s just that I’m choosing to make it a period of growth.”
The comments come amid positive reviews for Marvel’s Thunderbolts*, where Harbour plays the Russian superhero Red Guardian.
