Bullet Train Explosion Review – Non-Stop Action Thriller

Netflix’s new action-thriller “Bullet Train Explosion” is a high-speed ride that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Based on the 1975 Japanese thriller “The Bullet Train,” this remake follows a group of passengers trapped in a life-or-death situation when a bomb is discovered on a Shinkansen train, set to explode if the speed drops below a certain threshold.

Director Shinji Higuchi keeps the tension alive by expanding the scope beyond the confined space of the train. The story bounces between the speeding train, the tense atmosphere at the railway control center, and the escalating government response, making it feel like a full-blown crisis unfolding in real time.

While the movie excels at creating a tense atmosphere, its two-hour runtime can be dragging at times. Some scenes could’ve been trimmed, especially those focusing on the passengers, which felt flat and forgettable. However, if you don’t mind a long movie, “Bullet Train Explosion” shouldn’t be much of a problem.

The pacing may wobble, and characters may not hit the emotional marks, but the movie still manages to keep your heart rate up. With its non-stop action and explosive set pieces, this thriller is perfect for fans of high-octane entertainment. Despite some flaws, “Bullet Train Explosion” delivers on its promise of an exciting ride.

Stream “Bullet Train Explosion” on Netflix now to experience the thrill for yourself.
