EA Sports has announced that College Football 26 will be released on July 10, 2025. The game is a follow-up to the highly successful College Football 25, which returned to the series after an 11-year hiatus. In 2013, the NCAA Football series was discontinued due to a lawsuit from former college football players over their name, image, and likeness rights.
However, with the introduction of NIL (name, image, and likeness) regulations in college sports, EA Sports has been able to revive the beloved series. College Football 25 included $600 payments for player participation, which led to its best-selling status among sports video games. For College Football 26, players will receive a significant increase in compensation.
According to EA Sports, players participating in the game will earn up to $1,500 each, with some athletes receiving additional compensation as brand ambassadors. The top athletes who visited the Rose Bowl for College Football 26 photoshoot include Michigan QB Bryce Underwood and Florida QB DJ Lagway. Several coaches from top-ranked teams were also spotted at the event.
College Football 26 is set to be released on July 10, 2025, and promises an exciting new chapter in the series.
