Adobe has launched the public beta of its Content Authenticity app, a free tool designed to secure proper attribution and support greater transparency, accountability, and protection for creators in the rapidly evolving digital landscape. The app allows creators to easily apply Content Credentials to their digital work, effectively signing it digitally.
Content Credentials are a secure type of metadata that enables creators to share information about themselves and their work, ensuring accurate attribution and credit. By adopting this feature, creators can build a more transparent and accountable digital ecosystem.
The app is built in collaboration with LinkedIn, which will integrate its Verified on LinkedIn feature to allow creators to attach their verified identity to their work. This move aims to address the critical gap in identity verification for the creative community.
Key features of the Content Authenticity app include:
* Attaching verified identity and more: Creators can choose what attribution information gets attached to their digital work, including their verified name and links to social media accounts.
* Batch-apply Content Credentials to images: Creators can now apply Content Credentials to up to 50 JPG or PNG files at once.
* Signal preference around generative AI training and usage: The app allows creators to signal their preference for not using generative AI models for training, helping to protect their work.
Adobe plans to integrate the app with its Creative Cloud apps, making it a centralized hub for managing Content Credentials preferences. LinkedIn also plans to expand its support for Content Credentials by displaying attribution information attached with the app directly on its platform.
The public beta is now available, and Adobe invites creators to experience the tool at MAX London or visit the Adobe booth at Creative Park to learn more about the Content Authenticity Initiative.
