SpaceX Launches 28 Starlink Satellites with Falcon 9 Rocket

SpaceX launched its 47th Falcon 9 mission of 2025 and 30th Starlink launch this year on Thursday, April 24. The rocket carried 28 Starlink satellites to low Earth orbit (LEO), joining SpaceX’s growing megaconstellation.

The Falcon 9 rocket, powered by nine Merlin engines, successfully landed its first-stage booster B1069 on a droneship in the Atlantic Ocean just six minutes after liftoff. This was the booster’s 23rd launch and 19th Starlink mission.

SpaceX’s Starlink network has over 7,000 satellites operating globally, with a grid-like pattern covering most of the planet except the poles. The service provides high-speed internet connections from anywhere, excluding the polar regions, by pointing receivers toward the sky.

This latest launch marks SpaceX’s steady pace in expanding its orbital internet constellation. With this mission, the company continues to enhance its space-based connectivity services for users worldwide.
