UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has challenged US President Donald Trump’s proposals, insisting that Ukraine should decide the terms of any peace deal with Russia. In an interview with The Telegraph, Mr Starmer said he backs Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and not Russia for blame in failed negotiations.
Mr Starmer also refused to back recognition of Crimea as part of Russia, demanding instead an unconditional ceasefire from Moscow. He stated that Ukraine should decide the issues involved and that Russia must come to the table for a peaceful resolution.
