Jayson Tatum Returns for Game 3 Against Magic

Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum is set to return for Game 3 of their Eastern Conference first-round series against the Orlando Magic on Wednesday night. The team announced that Tatum would be available, despite dealing with a severe bone bruise in his right wrist.

Tatum suffered the injury during Game 1 and missed Game 2 due to the pain. Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla stated that Tatum is “day-to-day” and has been making progress each day. The forward underwent all necessary protocols before deciding to play in Game 3.

This will be Tatum’s first playoff game missed in his career, having appeared in 114 consecutive postseason games for the Celtics since joining the team in 2017. A six-time All-Star and likely to make an All-NBA team for the fifth time this year, Tatum is a key player for Boston. He averaged 26.8 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 6.0 assists during the regular season, leading the Celtics in all three categories.
