Apple has been testing iOS 18.2, which brings several new features related to Apple Intelligence, including Genmoji and Image Playground. However, a small but significant update is being made for users of the Apple Music and Apple TV apps. Natural language search is now available, allowing users to describe what they’re looking for without knowing the exact name of the song, movie, or series.
The feature can be used in various ways, such as searching for “nostalgic hits from the 90s” or “songs similar to Espresso.” It also works with Siri, enabling users to ask the assistant to play songs with epic guitar solos. The natural search is currently only available in English and requires an iPhone 15 Pro or later, or iPads with the M1 chip or later.
This update builds on Apple’s previous introduction of natural language search to the Photos app with iOS 18.1. Users can now easily find a photo or video using specific phrases, such as searching for a photo of someone wearing a blue sweater. The feature is expected to be rolled out to the public in the near future, bringing convenience and ease to Apple Music and Apple TV users.
