Samsung Accelerates One UI 7 Rollout with Security and Privacy Improvements

Samsung is accelerating its One UI 7 rollout, bringing major feature updates, security, and privacy improvements after months of delays. The new OS includes an Apple-like ecosystem, addressing concerns from Galaxy owners.

Before updating, it’s essential to download app updates that should be performed after installation. This includes stock Google apps and background services like Play. To update these, open both the Google Play Store and Galaxy Store, then follow the on-screen instructions.

However, users should be cautious when dealing with SafetyCore, a recent background update installed across Android’s ecosystem without notification. It scans images for nudity in Google Messages and can’t be disabled through normal means. Users can find more information on disabling or uninstalling it at SammyFans.

To update your apps, follow these steps: Open the Google Play Store, select Manage apps and services, then Updates available and Download. Similarly, open the Galaxy Store, navigate to Menu, select Updates, and tap Update all.

Additionally, Samsung owners with a Galaxy S25 should expect a fast update to Android 16 Beta 4, now expected for a stable release in July.
