Eagles Add Quarterback Kyle McCord in Sixth Round Draft Pick

The Philadelphia Eagles have selected former Syracuse quarterback Kyle McCord in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL draft. McCord, who previously played at Ohio State, was picked with the 181st overall pick after a strong season for the Orange, where he threw for 4,779 yards and 34 touchdowns. Despite losing confidence under coach Jim Harbaugh, McCord led Syracuse to an impressive 10-3 record as a starter in 2024. With Jalen Hurts already established as the team’s starting quarterback, McCord will compete with Tanner McKee and Dorian Thompson-Robinson for a backup role behind Hurts.
