Motorola has been releasing its own fitness-focused smartwatches in recent years, but it’s time for the company to bring back one of its most iconic designs – the Moto 360. The original Moto 360 was a standout fan favorite from the first generation of Google’s Wear OS platform, despite having several flaws.
The circular display, poor performance, and fragile design were major issues, but the futuristic look captivated many fans. Although Motorola released sequels to the original, they couldn’t compete with other brands’ superior devices. However, with recent advancements in Wear OS and Qualcomm chips, a revamped Moto 360 could be a game-changer.
One potential obstacle is that Motorola’s target audience for affordable smartphones may not be interested in premium smartwatches over $300. Additionally, the company may be hesitant to revive the name “Moto 360” due to licensing agreements with eBuyNow, which still uses the name on some of its products.
Despite these challenges, a new Moto 360 reboot could provide a much-needed option for those seeking a stylish and feature-rich smartwatch. With modern hardware and a refined design, Motorola can address the issues that plagued the original. What do you think? Would you buy a new Moto 360?
