Scientists to Create T-Rex Leather by End of Year

Lab-Grown Leather, a UK-based company, has teamed up with The Organoid Company to create T-Rex leather using dinosaur DNA. The process involves growing collagen sequences from extinct hides and then using them to generate new skin.

For years, it was thought that finding dinosaur DNA would be impossible due to its fragile nature. However, recent discoveries have revealed that collagen is preserved in dinosaur fossils, including a 80 million-year-old Tyrannosaurus Rex.

Lab-Grown Leather claims to have developed a groundbreaking technology that allows for the creation of fully natural animal skin without using scaffolds or fillers. This innovation ensures that the resulting leather is 100% animal tissue, with no artificial additives.

The company hopes to launch its first T-Rex leather product by the end of this year, citing its potential for being tough and durable. The technology also offers an ethically sound alternative to traditional leather production methods.
