Apple has completed its Engineering Validation Testing (EVT) for at least one iPhone 17 model, according to an upcoming DigiTimes report. This milestone marks a key step in the manufacturing process before mass production begins.
The EVT stage involves testing iPhone 17 prototypes to ensure hardware works as expected. Following this, Apple will conduct Design Validation Test and Production Validation Test stages before devices enter mass production.
Completing the EVT phase ahead of schedule shows that Apple is on track for its typical September launch window. While minor adjustments might be made to specifications during this final stage, significant changes are unlikely.
Industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo expects 12GB of RAM in the iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max models. However, a decision on base model RAM remains uncertain, with Apple set to finalize by May.
The iPhone 17 series is expected to feature various upgrades over previous models, including new design elements and improved performance capabilities. The upcoming devices are also anticipated to include enhanced cameras, faster processors, and updated software features.
