German authorities are investigating a possible murder after best-selling author Alexandra Fröhlich was found dead on a houseboat in Hamburg. The 58-year-old novelist was discovered on April 22 morning, and her relatives reported the body to the fire department.
Prosecutors believe she died as a result of violence and have launched an investigation into possible suspects. A 3D scanner and divers from the state police are being used to aid in the search.
Fröhlich was a prolific writer who published two bestselling novels: “My Russian Mother-in-Law and Other Disasters” (2019) and “People Always Die” (2016). Both books spent months on the Spiegel bestseller list, dealing with themes of family drama, mystery, and death. The investigation is ongoing.
