US Air Campaign Hits Over 800 Targets in Yemen Since March 15

The US military has announced that its ongoing air campaign against the Houthi militia in Yemen has struck over 800 targets since operations began on March 15, according to a statement from US Central Command. The campaign, code-named Operation Rough Rider, aims to disrupt the Houthis’ ability to launch attacks against ships in the Red Sea.

The targets of the strikes include command-and-control facilities, air defense systems, and advanced weapons manufacturing and storage locations. These facilities have stockpiled antiship ballistic and cruise missiles and drones, which the Houthis have used in previous attacks on shipping vessels.

The cost of the campaign is estimated to be over $1 billion, according to congressional officials. President Trump ordered the start of the strikes on March 15, marking a significant escalation of US involvement in the conflict.
