Kim Kardashian Robbery Suspect Dies Before Trial in Paris

A suspect in Kim Kardashian’s 2016 robbery has died before their trial. The development comes as the trial of the Kardashians star’s alleged assailants began in a Paris courtroom on April 28. One of the defendants was confirmed dead, while another was deemed too ill to stand trial.

Ten other suspects, dubbed “The Grandpa Gang” due to their advanced age at the time of the heist, face charges of robbery and kidnapping. Kim Kardashian, 44, will take the stand on May 13 during the trial, which is set to run through May 23.

In a recent interview, Kim discussed the long-term impact of surviving the traumatic ordeal. She revealed that she had been advised by her therapist that her ability to remain calm in the face of danger was a “superpower.” However, she now wonders if she has adopted this trait too fully and become “frozen in fight or flight.”

The trial is ongoing, with Kim’s attorney stating that his client has “tremendous appreciation” for the French judicial system. The case marks another development in the aftermath of the Paris robbery, which saw Kim bound and gagged in her hotel room before robbers stole millions of dollars’ worth of jewelry.
