EA Lays Off Hundreds Amid Respawn Entertainment Cuts

Electronic Arts Inc. is cutting hundreds of jobs and canceling a Titanfall game at its Respawn Entertainment subsidiary, according to Bloomberg reports. The layoffs involve around 300-400 positions, including about 100 at Respawn.

The move comes two years after EA closed its Baton Rouge facility, laying off 200 workers in the process. In a statement, EA spokesperson Justin Higgs cited the company’s need for “long-term strategic priorities” and said the changes will help align teams and allocate resources for future growth.
