Samsung has officially released its latest flagship phone, the Galaxy S25 Edge, boasting a sleek 5.8mm thin body that’s thinner than both the Pixel 9 and its own predecessor, the S25. However, this exceptional design comes at the cost of a smaller battery size, reduced camera capabilities, and potentially a higher price tag.
The device features a 200-megapixel wide-angle main shooter and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera, but lacks a telephoto lens. The 3,900mAh battery is smaller than its competitors, including the Pixel 9’s 4,700mAh and the S25’s 4,000mAh.
Despite these trade-offs, Samsung has managed to optimize the phone’s performance with an efficient Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, ensuring decent battery life. However, European pricing starts at €1,249 for the 256GB model, with the 512GB option priced at €1,369, which may be a hard sell considering the sacrifices made in terms of camera capabilities and battery size.
With its expected launch date set towards the end of May, consumers are left to weigh the pros and cons of this new Galaxy S25 Edge.
