Hollywood stars Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock are reuniting for a new romantic thriller at Amazon MGM Studios. The duo, known for their iconic roles in the 1990s action classic Speed and romantic drama The Lake House, will star in an untitled project penned by writer Noah Oppenheim. The film is being produced by Bullock via Fortis Films, Reeves, Mark Gordon, and Bibby Dunn, with Oppenheim and Sarah Bremner also on board.
Details about the plot remain under wraps, but Oppenheim describes it as “propulsive.” This marks a reunion between the lead actors and their long-time collaborator Gordon, who produced Speed. The project is expected to be a key film for both Reeves and Bullock in 2024.
Reeves most recently appeared on the big screen with John Wick: Chapter 4, while Bullock’s latest release was The Lost City, which grossed almost $200 million worldwide. They are set to reprise their iconic chemistry on screen once again, a feat that contributed significantly to Speed’s massive success in 1994.
