Blues Forcibly Take Series to Game 7 with 5-2 Win Over Jets

The St. Louis Blues have forced a deciding Game 7 in their playoff series against the Winnipeg Jets after a thrilling 5-2 victory on Friday night. Cam Fowler, Brayden Schenn, and Nathan Walker scored in a span of just 2:13 during the second period to propel the home team back into contention.

The Blues’ Alexey Toropchenko also found the net twice, while Jordan Binnington made 21 saves to secure the win. Winnipeg’s Cole Perfetti and Nino Niderreiter scored, but it was not enough to overcome the Blues’ onslaught.

Conversely, Jets goalie Connor Hellebuyck struggled in his latest outing, allowing at least four goals for the seventh time in eight road playoff starts. He was replaced by Eric Comrie midway through the second period, after giving up three goals on 18 saves.

The decisive win marked the sixth straight game that the home team has won in this series, with the Blues now heading to Winnipeg for Game 7 on Sunday night.
