LeBron James Downplays Lakers’ Blowout Loss to Heat

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James acknowledged the team’s 134-93 loss to the Miami Heat, saying it “sucks” and that he’s seen worse losses in his 22-year NBA career. Despite being embarrassed by the performance, James took full responsibility, agreeing with coach JJ Redick’s assessment of the team’s struggles.

The Lakers shot just 42% from the field, while allowing the Heat to shoot 57.8%. Tyler Herro hit seven straight three-pointers in the third quarter, contributing to the decisive win. When asked about the team’s performance, James refused to point fingers at anyone other than himself and his teammates, saying “it’s not on the coaches.”

The loss dropped the Lakers to 12-10 overall, with a 4-6 record in their last 10 games. Despite the setback, James urged his team to stay even-keeled, drawing on his extensive experience to remind them that momentum can shift quickly. The Lakers will look to bounce back against the Atlanta Hawks on Friday.
