Yemen has appointed Salem Saleh bin Buraik as its new prime minister, replacing Ahmed Bin Mubarak who stepped down on Saturday due to a lack of support from the Presidential Leadership Council. According to his resignation letter, Bin Mubarak cited an inability to reform state institutions and reshuffle the cabinet as reasons for his departure. Rashad Al-Alimi, head of the Presidential Leadership Council, made the appointment in a move aimed at addressing these challenges.
