SpaceX successfully launched another batch of 26 Starlink satellites into orbit on Friday morning, marking the company’s 20th orbital launch from California this year. The mission, known as Starlink 15-5, was conducted at Vandenberg Space Force Base using a Falcon 9 rocket.
The launch occurred just over an hour after liftoff, with SpaceX confirming successful separation of the satellites from the booster just over an hour later. This marks a notable milestone for the company, which has now launched more than 1,000 Starlink satellites this year alone.
Notably, the reused Falcon 9 first stage booster B1093 made its second flight on Friday’s mission after previously launching with the same satellite constellation 39 days ago. The booster successfully landed back on the drone ship “Of Course I Still Love You” in the Pacific Ocean for the 130th time.
