Caitlin Clark Ready for Season 2 with Fever

Indianapolis, IN – Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark is feeling more comfortable heading into her second season in the WNBA. Clark, the Rookie of the Year in 2024, had a challenging debut last year, but has since improved. The Fever began the season 1-8 but recovered to finish 20-20 and make the playoffs for the first time since 2016.

Clark credits her growth with having fun and being confident on the court. She also acknowledges that it’s okay not to be perfect and that she needs to stay positive. Clark led the WNBA in assists (8.4 per game) and 3-pointers (122) last season while averaging 19.2 points and 5.7 rebounds.

The Fever will face off against the Chicago Sky on Saturday, which marks the beginning of a five-game regular season series between the two teams. Clark is looking forward to the rivalry with the Sky, saying “Rivalries are real, and that’s what makes sports so amazing.” With new coach Stephanie White at the helm, Clark is excited for the season ahead and confident in her abilities.

Clark reflected on her first year in the WNBA, comparing it to being a freshman in high school and college. She knows what to expect this year, having gained confidence from last season’s experience. The Fever are looking to build on their success from last year and make a deep run in the playoffs.
